Ali Reid joined the AccuWeather Network in May 2024 as a National Weather Reporter. Ali is an award-winning journalist, armed with seven years of TV reporting experience. Her career has led her to cover stories from coast to coast.
She most recently could be seen on TV screens across New Jersey and Pennsylvania as a General Assignment Reporter for News 12 in Edison, NJ and Fox 29 in Philadelphia... telling stories from the Jersey Shore to the City of Brotherly Love.
Ali's journey started amidst the cornfields of Illinois, where she adapted to the ever-changing landscape of Midwestern weather as WMBD's Morning Show Reporter. In pursuit of fresh opportunities, Ali exchanged prairies for cityscape, where she took on a new audience in Allentown, PA as WFMZ's Morning Show Reporter. The Mid-Atlantic weather brought its own set of challenges and surprises, further fueling Ali's passion for storytelling.
Her outstanding work during the 2020 election earned her an Emmy award, showcasing her ability to deliver accurate and compelling news to viewers. Ali is also a Gracie Award winner, recognized for her contributions to the field of broadcast journalism.
Ali holds her degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College, where she cultivated her passion for storytelling. A proud native of South Jersey, Ali brings a unique perspective and unwavering commitment to informing and empowering communities through her reporting. She is ready to take audiences on a whirlwind adventure through the highs and lows of weather.
