Melissa Constanzer is a trusted global weather expert at AccuWeather, sharing real-time information and updates on the AccuWeather Network as an On-Air Meteorologist. In her role, Melissa delivers critical weather forecasts to vast regions all over the nation that effects the lives of millions.
Melissa has experience forecasting multiple weather patterns ranging from hurricanes to intense snowstorms. She began her career at WBRE in Northeastern Pennsylvania and then became the morning meteorologist for WJFW in Wisconsin. While at WJFW she forecasted the coldest and snowiest winter on record in Northern Wisconsin. Melissa then moved to Alabama where she was the weekend morning meteorologist for WKRG. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Penn State University.
After witnessing the death and destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, Melissa wanted to spend the rest of her life combining her love of math and science in a job that would allow her to help people prepare for such catastrophic weather. Enthralled by record setting days, whether they be snowfall, hot or cold temperatures, Melissa’s favorite part of meteorology is seeing just how far the weather can move away from the norm.
Melissa enjoys being outside running, swimming and soaking up the sun. In her spare time she likes cooking and spending time with family and friends.
